ABAC Music Groups Spring Tour BEGINS IN NASHVILLE, ADEL

TIFTONNashville and Adel will be the first stops on the annual spring tour for the music groups from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on April 4-6.  The Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Choir, and Jazz Band will perform on April 4 at Berrien High School and Cook High School en route to a performance at the Pensacola, Fla., Jazz Fest.

The ensembles will perform on April 4 at Berrien High School in Nashville and at Cook High School in Adel.  The tour will end with the Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Choir performance at the Pensacola Fla. JazzFest.

The 25th annual JazzFest will be held in downtown, historic Seville Square. The event is administered by the Jazz Society of Pensacola with able assistance from WUWF-FM and the Arts Council of Pensacola. The two-day festival, held in early spring each year, celebrates America's Unique Musical Art Form - Jazz. The ABAC groups will perform on April 5 from 1- 5 p.m.  There is no charge for the performance.

The ABAC Concert Band, under the direction of Woody Leonard, the Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Donald B. Coates, and the ABAC Choirs, under the direction of Dr. Susan Roe, will perform a variety of music on the tour from classical to jazz.  A total of 145 ABAC students will be performing with the ensembles on tour.
