ABAC Partners with Harvey’s for New Food Classes

 

 

TIFTON – Five terrific cooking classes from the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Public Service and Business Outreach Center can start your year off on a scrumptious note. All the classes are co-sponsored with Harvey’s, which is providing all the food.  Polly Huff is the instructor for all the classes.

The first class is Advanced Gourmet Cooking where you can learn the latest trends in today's cuisine in a relaxed environment. Hone your skills and experiment with techniques such as torching, poaching, and searing properly. The class will be offered Jan. 12 from 9:30 a.m. –  noon, and the cost of the class is $29.

Keep your New Year’s Resolution with the Cooking Light class offered Jan. 26, 9:30 a.m. – noon. In this cooking course, you will learn to cook several dishes that taste divine, but are light and healthy.  The cost of the course is $29.

Spend your date night attending the Gourmet Cooking for Couples class. Socialize with others while preparing and enjoying a magnificent feast.  The $49 fee is per couple.  Space is limited.  Register early for this class on Feb. 14, 6:30 – 9 p.m.

Take a culinary trip to Ireland as you learn how to prepare several traditional Irish dishes in A Taste of Ireland class. Starting with Irish soda bread, lamb Irish stew and Colcannon, and ending with a special float, you will delight in tasting everything you prepare during this class on  March 14, 6:30 – 9 p.m. The cost is $29.

Share the love of cooking with your child!  Spend a Saturday morning in the Mom and Me Cooking class and have a blast learning some new recipes.  Not only will Mom and child have the opportunity to learn some new cooking techniques and terms, they will also get the chance to eat their own magnificent creations on April 12,  9:30 – noon. The cost is $39 for Mom and Child and $15 for each additional child.
