Admission is free to ABAC students, faculty, and staff with ID, and $5 for all others. The show begins at 8 p.m. All scenes are driven by audience suggestions, so the members of the audience should come prepared to be vocal with their ideas.
The Radioactive Beavers II, as the troupe is called, comes from a previous group which took its name from an audience member's suggestion for a scene. Members of the troupe include Kati Wheeler of Tifton who holds a Bs Ed in Theatre from Columbus State University; Jonathon Sellers, a freshman from Baxley; Keith Thomas, a sophomore biology major from Tifton; Ashley Stripling, a sophomore Early Childhood Education major from Ocilla; Dustin Bass from Gainesville FL, an Economics Faculty member at ABAC; Rachel Green, a freshman English major from Tifton; Maddy Dabney, a freshman business administration major from Monroe; Garrett Nelms a freshman Ag Environment major from Ocilla; and Hayden Hamby, a freshman Pre-Med major from Ocilla.
Dr John Galyean, director of the troupe, studied and performed improv comedy in
"First of all, at ABAC we always try to 'work clean' ,which can be difficult when you are trying to make a scene out of nothing instantly,” Galyean said. “The other consideration is that very few of our troupe members have a performance background, and that's what astounds me.
“Their talent level is remarkable for their experience. This troupe has gelled very quickly. We're like one big dysfunctional family - and that's a good thing! We hope to see a lot of people out at 319 Conger."
