ABAC FINANCIAL AID DEADLINE JULY 15

 

            TIFTON– The deadline for students submitting financial aid applications for the fall semester at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is July 15.  The application deadline will ensure processing of the applications in time for the start of the fall term on Aug. 20, according to Financial Aid Director Jenelle Handcox.

            Handcox also said HOPE Scholarship qualifications have changed for 2007. Students who qualify should verify HOPE eligibility by logging on to www.gacollege411.org.  Students can view the financial aid link, select HOPE Calculation Report, and verify their high school grade point average (GPA).  Tech prep students must have at least a 3.2 GPA, and college prep students are required to have at least a 3.0 average.

Students who have pre-registered for the fall term must have all fees paid by Aug. 8. Students attending the Aug. 17 registration and orientation session must pay all fees that day. Those who need assistance paying for their college education can still apply for financial aid after July 15, but they must be prepared to pay initially and be reimbursed for the aid that they qualify for at a later date.
