ALLISON
WINS WOODROOF AWARD AT ABAC HONORS DAY
TIFTON—Casey
Allison, a business administration major
from Dahlonega, was named the top academic student at
Allison is an active member in Alpha Beta Gamma, serving in numerous positions including president and webmaster of the organization on the ABAC campus. He won the Donald Bertram Community Service Award and the Nathan Ancell Memorial Award through Alpha Beta Gamma. He was also recently elected as the national president of Alpha Beta Gamma.
He has received the Divisional Award of Excellence in Business Administration and the Miller Award of Distinction. He has been named a Phi Theta Kappa Leader of Promise and was awarded the John H. Dorminey Scholarship.
Allison also served as the webmaster for the Forestry and Wildlife Club and is an active member in ABAC’s Entrepreneurial Society and Phi Theta Kappa, the college’s international honor society. He is the son of Cynthia and Chester Allison of Dahlonega.
Also during the
ceremony, Divisional Awards of Distinction were presented to the students with
the greatest overall positive impact in each division, both academically and
through college service.

Leesburg received the Sports Turf Management Award. The Wildlife Technology
award went to Russell P. Epps of
Tabinda Maqsood of Chula received the Business Administration award,
and the Information Technology award went to Brenda N. Doss of Tifton. Justin
C. Usher of
Carolyn E. Brannen of Tifton received the award for Allied Health. The Biology award went to Amber J. Jones of Omega. Elizabeth C. Lynn from Reidsville received the Chemistry award. The Physics award went to Micah N. Kunkel of Palmetto. The Pre-Professional award went to both Jake C. Fountain of Ashburn and Tammy Nhu of Tifton.
Amy Truelove of Ashburn received the Criminal Justice award. The Early Childhood Education award went to Jeremy G. Morgan of Fitzgerald. Jesse K. Story of Sycamore received the award for History. The Human Services & Sociology award went to Latassel S. Williams of Adel.
The Middle Grades Education award went to Tina G. Griner of Alapaha. Caroline J. Brown of Rochelle received the P – 12 Education award. The Political Science award went to Heather L. Gilman of Ashburn. Timothy J. Parks of Pitts received the Psychology award.
