TWENTY-TWO GRADUATE FROM 212th ABAC POLICE ACADEMY

TIFTON—Twenty-two individuals from the South Georgia area recently received certificates at graduation exercises for the 212th session of the South Georgia Police Academy Basic Mandate Class at Abraham Baldwin College.

Academy Director Ray Saxon said the Overall Achievement award for the session was awarded to Colon J. Keel, III of the Thomasville Police Department. Keel also tied for second place in Academic Achievement with Michael L. Jackson of the Thomasville Police Department, received second place in Firearms, and served as the session’s president.

First place in Academic Achievement was a tie between Thomas W. Jackson of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and Ronald P. Jordan of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office. First place in Firearms was also awarded to Thomas W. Jackson.

 Other graduates included Timothy Allen and Jason W. Lovett of the Americus Police Department; Nartonya P. Houston of the Arlington Police Department; Gezzi Tonette of the Ashburn Police Department; Demetric D. Stubbs and Michael B. Trammell of the Bainbridge Police Department; Damien A. Serrata of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office; and Bryan A. Hayes of the Cuthbert Police Department.

Willie L. Marshall, Jr. and Erica D. Reynoso of the Fort Valley Police Department; Chad E. Folsom, Tracy D. Gaskins, and Timothy L. Royals of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office; David L. Hiracheta of the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office; Stuart E. Sims of Ocilla, sponsored by the South Georgia Police Academy; Elijah J. Antes of the Thomasville Police Department; Justin A. Hutchinson of the Tift County Sheriff’s Office; and Sabrina W. Smith of the Valdosta Police Department also graduated from the 212th session.

 The South Georgia Police Academy regularly holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in cooperation with the Division of Social Science at ABAC.
