ABAC BEAUTY REVUE ON NOVEMBER 2

TIFTON- Ms. Abraham Baldwin 2007 will be crowned on Nov. 2 at the 38th annual ABAC Beauty Revue at Abraham Baldwin College. The Revue is sponsored by the Student Government Association and the College Activities Board. 

            The event will feature 35 contestants who will compete in casual wear and evening gowns. They will also be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges. The Revue begins at 7:30 p.m. in ABAC's Donaldson Dining Hall. Admission is $3.

Students competing in this year's event include Susan Adkins, a political science major from Roberta, sponsored by the Honors Club; Brittany Armour, an animal science major from Lexington, sponsored by ABAC Cattlemen’s Club; Adrienne Baldwin, an undecided major from Tifton, sponsored by the Baptist College Ministries; Simone Baptiste, a nursing major from Lawrenceville, sponsored by the Aquatics; Brittany Barbee, a radiology major from Sycamore, sponsored by Circle K; and Brittney Bowden, a nursing transfer major from Ocilla, sponsored by Pegasus.

Other coeds competing for the crown are Brittaney Browning, a journalism major from College Park, sponsored by Minority Academic Social Development Association; Jessica Bryant, an agricultural education major from Hoschton, sponsored by the ABAC Turf Club; Cassie Couch, a pre-dentistry major from Tifton, sponsored by the ABAC Women’s Soccer Team; Angela Davenport, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Americus, sponsored by the Pre-Vet Club; Jill Dunn, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Tifton, sponsored by the ABAC Ambassadors;  Crissie Elrick, an agricultural communications major from Pembroke, sponsored by Family and Consumer Sciences; Heather Gilman, an early childhood education major from Sylvester, sponsored by the ABAC Stallions Baseball Team; Amber Graham, an agriculture transfer major from Harlem, sponsored by the Agricultural Equipment Technology (AET) Club; and Jeri Anna Guthrie, an agricultural education major from Adel, sponsored by the ABAC Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators (SPAGE).

Other contestants are Ana Carmen Diaz Hernandez, a political science/pre-law major from Tifton, sponsored by the ABAC Assisting Students with Knowledge Club; Regina Holliday, an animal science major from Dublin, sponsored by the ABAC FFA; Katelyn Funk, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Dacula, sponsored by the Stallions’ tennis team; Tabinda Maqsood, a business administration major from Pakistan, sponsored by Alpha Beta Gamma; Jamie Mattingly, a landscape design and grounds management major from Stockbridge, sponsored by the Horticulture Club; Kristin Merriman, a nursing major from Hahira, sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA); Bethany Patterson, an early childhood education major from Blue Ridge, sponsored by the College Democrats; and Jamese Patterson, a nursing major from Ashburn, sponsored by the Christian Student Fellowship.

Others participating are Joanna Phelps, a nursing major from St. Augustine, Fla., sponsored by the Rodeo Club; Kelsey Ramsey, a wildlife management transfer major from St. Augustine, Fla., sponsored by the ABAC RacCooners Club; Jasmine Richardson, a music major from Albany, sponsored by the Music Educators National Conference ; Ashley Lynn Robison, an interior design major from Enigma, sponsored by the ABAC Cheerleaders; Elizabeth Rossman, an early childhood education major from Lilburn, sponsored by the ABAC 4-H Club; Jennie Sawyer, an undecided major from Douglas, sponsored by Campus-Wide Bible Study; Sandra Tinajero, a business administration transfer major from Wray, sponsored by Cultura Latina; Kimberly Troupe, a family and consumer sciences/nutrition major from Nashville, sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa; Sarah Tucker, an early childhood education major from Tifton, sponsored by The Stallion;  Skye Wade, a business administration major from Roswell, sponsored by the Stallions basketball team;  April Wages, an animal science major from Stockbridge, sponsored by the ABAC Forestry and Wildlife Club; and Charlie Walker, a nursing major from Statesboro, sponsored by the College Republicans.

ABAC Director of Public Relations Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies. Student Government President, Jason Chapman, will crown the new Ms. ABAC.
