‘NEVER RUNS SMOOTH’ ON STAGE AT ABAC NOVEMBER 9 – 11

TIFTON-Never Runs Smooth”, Abraham Baldwin College’s fall theater production, will be held on Nov. 9-11 in Conger Hall, Room 319. The play is directed by Dr. John Galyean, Associate Professor of Humanities; and ABAC alumnus Kati Wheeler.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and curtain time is 8 p.m. General admission for the play is $5. ABAC faculty, staff, and students get in free.

“Never Runs Smooth” is about a group of people who are members of SPATS (The Society to Promote All Things Shakespeare). The theme of the group meeting and of the play is love, with the couples in the group having spats of their own that are reflected in the scenes they stage.  Galyean said this play within a play proves that all you need is love.

The Baldwin Players cast includes Anna Bowden, a fine arts major from Ocilla as Sylvia; Tom Mark, an instructor from Tifton in the Tift County School System as Ben; Dr. Brian Ray, Assistant Professor of Humanities at ABAC from Ty Ty as Jack; Tyler Yawn, a music and theater major from Cordele as Duke; Rene Alligood, an English education major from Fitzgerald  as Randi; Savannah Nell Rogers, a music and voice major from Moultrie as Vi; Shadae Unique Dennard, a theater communications major from Tifton as Beth; and Stephen Bruner, an animal science major from Stuart, Fla., as Tony.
