DEAN RECIPIENT OF WINE & SPIRITS SCHOLARSHIP

TIFTON- Crystal Dean, a nursing major from Fitzgerald, has received a scholarship to Abraham Baldwin College worth $2, 812 from the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers Foundation.

On hand for the presentation were Dr. David C. Bridges, President of ABAC; Fred Kitchens of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers Foundation; Dean’s family; and representatives from the ABAC faculty and staff.

Dean and her husband, Anthony, are the parents of two girls - Hannah, 4 and Olivia, 3. Dean is in her second semester at ABAC, commuting from Fitzgerald to the Tifton campus. Her goal is to work in the Tifton area upon graduating from ABAC as an oncologist nurse or a school nurse.

The scholarship awarded by the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers Foundation is given every other year to a non-traditional student who shows financial need with outstanding academic standing. Each business in the foundation is a family-owned Georgia business. Scholarships have been given by this organization for the past 41 years.
