ABAC SELECTS NEW HONORS PROGRAM STUDENTS
TIFTON - Twenty-four students were
selected for membership in the Honors Program at
The goal of the ABAC Honors Program is to provide a more meaningful college career for academically talented students and to prepare them to undertake junior and senior level work. Honors program students present their research in state, regional, and National conferences. In the last year ABAC Honors program students were awarded college scholarships such as the George P. Donaldson Award, corporate scholarships such as the Coca Cola scholarship, and National Scholarships such as the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.
New Honors Program students include Susan Adkinson, a political science major from Fort Valley, Greg Brewer, a wildlife management major from Easley, SC; Jeff Broadbent, a wildlife management major from Augusta; Colin Bryan, a pre-law major from Tifton; Cassie Couch, a pre-dentistry major from Tifton; Kyle Dekle, an agricultural education major from Donalsonville; Ana Diaz Hernandez, a political science major from Tifton; Donald Exley, a turf grass management major from Effingham; Haley Hardin, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Calhoun; Belinda Henry, a business administration major from Tifton; Regina Holliday, an animal science major from Dublin; and Erin Hudson, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Barnesville.

Hynko, a landscape design major from Statesboro; Bonnie Mincher, an early childhood education major from
Scarborough, ME; Mary Anne Murphree,
an English major from Sylvester; Christina
Norton, an art major from Tifton; James
O’Dillon, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Macon; Clay Shipes, a wildlife management major from Lexington, SC; Kate Thigpen, a biology major from
Woodbine; Sandra Tinajero, a business
administration major from Wray; Clay
Tippins, a pre-veterinary medicine major from Claxton; Ken Watson, a criminal justice major from Scarborough, ME; Matthew Whittington, a history major
from Omega; and Seth Wooten, a P-12 education
major from Ashburn.
Students
already at ABAC can join the Honors program if they have the nomination of an
ABAC faculty member and at least a 3.2 GPA. For additional information
