Students in the Association of Information Technology Professionals help foster parents learn computer skills.

FOSTER PARENTS LEARN COMPUTER SKILLS

TIFTON—A computer class is now taking place to help foster parents learn computer basics so they can help the children they care for with their schoolwork. The five-week course was contracted through the PSBOC at Abraham Baldwin College.

Joy Godin, Instructor of Information Technology, along with the Association of Information Technology Professionals, contracted the class for foster parents. Godin serves as the teacher for the class.

“We are teaching them basic computer skills such as how to use the components, use the internet and e-mail, saving and storing files, computer terminology, and how to use programs,” Godin said.

The PSBOC offers a variety of computer classes each semester. For additional information or to register for a class, contact the Center at (229) 391-5070.
