INFORMATION SESSION FOR VSU CLASSES AT ABAC MAY 11

 

            TIFTON –Faculty members from Valdosta State University’s College of Education will be on the campus of Abraham Baldwin College on May 11 at 5:30 p.m. for the information session of the Special Education cohort group which begins with the 2006 fall term. The information session will be held in Cordell Conference Room A of the Carlton Center.

The program is geared to prospective teachers who hold an Associate’s degree or are pursuing an Early Childhood Education Associate’s degree. Future teachers may earn Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Special Education /General Curriculum: Early Childhood Education. Students who meet entrance requirements take three evening courses each semester until all requirements are met. All classes meet on the ABAC campus.

Students who enter the program must have a minimum of 30 hours of college level coursework, including Foundations of Education. Additionally, students must have at least a 2.5 grade point average, a passing score or be exempted from the Pre-Professional Test (Praxis I) for teachers, and have a passing score on the Regents’ Exam.
