KIDS SWIMMING CLASSES BEGIN JUNE 5 AT ABAC

There will be a Parent and Toddler session Monday Friday from June 5 9 from 7 8 p.m., and another session from June 12 16 from 10:30 11:30 a.m. Class size is limited to six children.
This class is designed for babies and toddlers ages six months to seven years old to get acquainted with water and swimming. The child must be accompanied by an adult. Students will learn how to hold their breath, blow bubbles in the water, kick, and gain confidence in the water.
Four Level I and II Beginner courses are being offered in June. The first will take place Monday Friday, June 5 9 from 10:30 11:30 a.m., and three other sessions will be offered June 12 16 from 8:30 9:30 a.m., 9:30 10:30 a.m., and 7 8 p.m. Class size is limited to five students, and children must be at least six years old and be comfortable in the water. No swimming skills are required.
In the class, participants will learn the front and back float with kick, beginner stroke, front crawl stroke, and more. Participants will have a swim test at the end of the session.
One session of the Level III Advanced Beginner course will be held Monday Friday, June 5 9 from 9:30 10:30 a.m. Class size is limited to eight students. A prerequisite to attend this class is the completion of Level I and II or to be able to swim 20 yards on front and back, swim underwater, and be comfortable floating in deep water.
In this class, students will learn to coordinate the front crawl stroke with rhythmic breathing, learn the back crawl stroke and backstroke, and diving off the side of the deep end.
One session of the Level IV and V Intermediate course will be offered Monday Friday, June 5 9. The session will take place from 8:30 9:30 a.m. Class size is limited to 10 students, and there is a prerequisite of completion of the Level III Advanced Beginner course.
Student will work on perfecting the backstroke, front crawl, and back crawl. They will also learn the breaststroke, sidestroke, diving, and underwater swimming.
