NINETEEN GRADUATE FROM 207th ABAC POLICE ACADEMY

TIFTON—Nineteen individuals from the South Georgia area recently received certificates at graduation exercises for the 207th Session of the South Georgia Police Academy Basic Mandate Class at Abraham Baldwin College.

Academy Director Ray Saxon said that Randall D. Hancock of the Valdosta Police Department received the award for Overall Achievement.  Hancock also received first place in Academic Achievement, and Heather B. Willis of the Valdosta Police Department earned second place.

First place in Firearms went to Robert R. Raymond of the Valdosta Police Department. Brandon C. White of the Valdosta Police Department earned second place. The President of the 207th session was Frank B. Roquemore of the Valdosta Police Department.

Other graduates included William O. Adams, Jr., of the Nashville Police Department; Roberson Brown, Jr.,  of the Albany State University Police Department; Jordan A. Cambron and Jason J. Herb of the Albany Police Department; Ryan J. Coffee of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office; and Chad L. Eason of the Valdosta Police Department.

Other graduates were Anthony C. Hayes and Brett M. Williams of the Tift County Sheriff’s Office; Marshall Robertson of the Fitzgerald Police Department; Gary D. Rogers of the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office; Eric D. Roney of the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport; Justin D. Sanders of Baxley, sponsored by the South Georgia Police Academy; Thomas S. Williamson of the Dougherty County Police Department; and Joey Wright of the Quitman Police Department.

The South Georgia Police Academy regularly holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in cooperation with the Division of Social Science at ABAC.
