KINGSTON VISITS ABAC GEAR UP PROGRAM

 

TIFTON – United States Congressman Jack Kingston visited Ocilla recently to get a first-hand look at the Gaining Early Awareness/Readiness for Undergraduate Program (GEAR UP) run by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Kingston spoke with GEAR UP staff, students, and teachers about the success duringthe program’s seven-year history. Kimberly Keen of ABAC serves as Coordinator of the program.

Also on hand for the event were Irwin County Commission Chair Joey Whitley; State Representative Jay Roberts; Ocilla mayor Lamar Royal; and ABAC Interim President Tom Call.
