MAW WANTS EDUCATION TO HELP HIS FAMILY
TIFTON – Michael Maw,
an Enigma resident who is double majoring in Crop and Soil Sciences and
Agricultural Communication at
“The big factor was that it was close to home,”
Maw said. “I could save money by still living at home. I had been to the campus
previously before becoming a student. I felt, and still feel like a part of a
close knit group.”
Maw also said that he enjoys the fact that ABAC is
a small college. “That’s the aspect I like best,” he said. “You get into a
routine of seeing people you know everyday, and that’s nice. I don’t feel
intimidated or afraid to say hello to someone, unlike on a larger campus.”
On campus, he is a member
of the Baptist Student Union and the ABAC Ambassadors. Maw also serves as News
Editor for the campus newspaper, The
“I really like the
relationships I’ve built with the students, faculty, and staff through
participating on campus,” Maw said. “I like interacting with everyone.”
His hobbies include eating and running every
morning. “I run to counteract my eating,” Maw said. Another big aspect in his
life is his faith. “My faith guides me everyday. I try to keep joy in my heart
and going where God wants me to go,” he said.

future plans, Maw said, “I want to use my science background to go back home
and help on my family’s farm with a family of my own one day.”
