ABAC JAZZ ENSEMBLE, CONDUCTORS SELECTED
FOR HONOR BAND CLINIC
TIFTON - The Abraham Baldwin College
Jazz Ensemble has been selected to be the only
performing ensemble invited to the 2006 honor band clinic. Each year, the
Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) host honor band clinics throughout
the 12 districts of
The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the Norman Park Baptist Assembly. The public is invited to attend, and there is no admission charge to the performance. Don Coates, the ABAC Jazz Ensemble director, has been selected to direct the District II Honor Jazz Band.
In addition to the ABAC Jazz Ensemble performance, Eugene Wyles, Director of Bands at ABAC and the conductor of the ABAC Concert Band, has been selected to conduct one of the District II Honor Bands. Wyles will conduct the District II Honor Band in concert on Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. at the Norman Park Baptist Assembly. This concert is also free to the public.
