ABAC OFFERS TRIPS FOR ALL KINDS OF
TRAVELERS FOR 2006
TIFTON—From a visit to the world’s largest fish
tank to the breathtaking beauty of Australia,
trips sponsored by the Abraham Baldwin College Public Service and Business Outreach Center
offer something for everyone this year.
All trips are open to the community
and showcase a variety of destinations including trips within Georgia, visits
to other states, or travels outside of the country. For more information on any

On March 30 – April 1, a “Cherry
Blossoms, Savannah’s Secrets, and Cumberland Island” trip is scheduled. This trip
will feature a tour of the Cherry Blossom Trail in Macon,
followed by a trolley tour of historic Savannah
and a performance of “Jukebox Journey” at the Savannah Theater. A dinner cruise on the Georgia Queen will
take travelers to Cumberland
Island, the state’s
southernmost barrier island. The cost for this three-day trip is $399 per
person.
Next is an overnight trip to Atlanta to see the hit
Broadway show, “Wicked”, and to visit the new Georgia Aquarium on May 23 – 24.
This package trip is $299 per person and includes motor coach transportation;
one night’s lodging with breakfast, show ticket, aquarium admission, dinner, a
tour director, snacks, and all taxes. The deadline for payment is Feb. 1.
The national touring company
production of “Wicked” will be at the fabulous Fox Theatre, and participants
will tour the Georgia Aquarium the following day. The aquarium features 100,000
marine animals in five million gallons of water.
In the summer of 2006, ABAC travelers
will go to the continent of Australia
for a 17 – day trip of the “South Pacific Wonders”. This trip also includes
visits to Fiji and New Zealand.
Visitors will see the Great Barrier Reef, the Sydney Opera House, Phillip Island,
Milford Sound, Little Penguin Parade, and a visit to Melbourne.
The trip begins on June 1. Per person
rates are single, $5,849; double, $4,949; and triple, $4,849. This package
includes 19 meals, round trip airfare from Atlanta,
cancellation waiver and insurance, hotel transfers, and transportation to and
from the Atlanta
airport.
In the fall, a “National Parks of the
West” trip will take place from Sept. 10 – 17. On this eight-day excursion,
travelers will visit the Grand Canyon and see the wildlife of Yellowstone,
along with five other national parks. Participants will spend three days in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and enjoy
a special overnight stay on the banks of Lake Powell,
where a sunset cruise is offered to see the lake’s canyons and vistas.
Roundtrip airfare, many meals,
narrated tours, and all admissions are included in this trip package. The cost
for this adventure is $1,999 per person.
