Christy Stanfill at Fall Open
Campus Day at ABAC
STANFILL TO GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITY AFTER COLLEGE
TIFTON – Christy Stanfill, an
“I want to give back to the community I was raised
in,” Stanfill said. She wants to do this through her choice of an early
childhood education major at ABAC.
“I chose ABAC for two reasons,” Stanfill said.
“ABAC is close to home and a lot of my friends said it was a great two-year
college to start my education.”
At ABAC, she is a member
of the ABAC Ambassadors. The Ambassadors serve as student representatives of
the college, giving tours and participating in events such as Open Campus Day
and Homecoming.
“Since being at ABAC, I’ve found that it’s a
strong two-year college,” Stanfill said. “The professors are really open to you
and care about you succeeding.”
Once her academic career at ABAC is complete, she
plans to attain both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in early childhood
education before returning home to Fitzgerald to teach kindergarten with the
Ben Hill County School System.
Stanfill is the daughter of LaRue and Stephanie
Stanfill. She has one older sister, Tiffany, 22, and nine year-old twin
siblings, Jessica and Jacob. She is a
