MARCH 1 DEADLINE FOR EARLY BIRD ORIENTATION AT ABAC

TIFTON—Incoming freshmen who want the best chance of getting their preferred classes in a favored time slot for the fall term at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College must meet the Early Bird deadline of March 1.

A special orientation session will be held in June prior to all other freshmen orientation sessions for those applicants who meet the deadline.

Prospective students must have completed an application with the application fee, high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores or any placement testing results, and medical history form by March 1 in order to attend this invitation-only session. Those who meet these qualifications will receive the invitation in the mail.

Ali Csinos, Coordinator of Student Recruitment, said, “The first group of entering freshmen can choose their classes before everyone else. The process is faster than with our other orientation sessions because we already have all the students’ information.”

Applicants should also talk to housing and financial aid representatives to lease an apartment and have funds in place for the 2006 fall term that begins Aug. 21.

For more information on registration, contact Csinos at (229) 391-5001. For additional information on financial aid, contact the financial aid office at (229) 391-4910. For housing availability, contact the office of Student Life and Housing at (229) 391-5140 or visit the ABAC Place apartments web site at  www.ABACPlace.com.
