Dr. Susan Roe and accompanist Gina Lawhon will perform at the First Tuesday Concert March 14
at ABAC.
FIRST TUESDAY CONCERT MARCH 14 AT ABAC
TIFTON – Dr. Susan Roe will be the featured performer at the First Tuesday
Concert on March 14 at
Roe is an assistant professor of voice at
ABAC and director of the First Tuesday Concert Series. She will be accompanied
by Gina Lawhon, a local piano and organ instructor who teaches general
music with the Tift County Public School System.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. at the Chapel of All Faiths. Tickets for the performance may be purchased at the door. The cost is $3 for adults and $1 for students. ABAC students are admitted free with ID. Patrons of the Arts and Entertainment Series can also attend at no charge.
Roe
will perform Landon
Ronald’s Love I Have Won You from A Cycle of Life, Ici-Bas by Gabriel Faure, and Botshaft
written by Johannes Brahms. Roe will also perform selections from La Boheme and Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, the Gershwin classic Summertime from Porgy and Bess and Till There
Was You from Meredith Wilson’s The
Music Man.
Wayne
Jones, Director of ABAC’s
Arts Connection, will join Roe in a duet of Bess,
You Is My Woman, also from Gershwin’s Porgy
and Bess. The performance will conclude with It Is Well by Horatio Spafford and Phillip Bliss.
