FRESHMAN ORIENTATION JUNE 23 AT ABAC
TIFTON-- Orientation
for new freshmen students at
There is an orientation fee of $30, and pre-registration is encouraged. “If students pay the orientation fee early, they can skip a step and arrive at a later time,” Ali Csinos, Coordinator of Student Recruitment, said. Those who have paid registration fees can report at 9:30 a.m.
There will be planned activities for students to get acquainted with future classmates during orientation, as well as a time for parents to get all their questions answered.
There will also be orientation leaders available to assist students. A wide range of student leaders will be represented so if students have any questions, they can get a club member’s viewpoint.
For this orientation session, ABAC has 160 students already registered, but expects 200-250 students by the date of orientation. Along with those students, 125-150 parents are expected to attend.
“Parents will have the opportunity to have a question and answer session with some of the college administrators, as well as enjoy the break area where refreshments will be provided,” Csinos said.
Two more freshmen orientation sessions are scheduled prior to the beginning of the fall term on Aug. 22. The next session is on July 21, and the final session is on Aug. 18. All first-time entering freshmen must attend one of the orientation sessions.
Students who need assistance paying for their college education can still apply for financial aid. Fee payment deadline for fall semester is Aug. 10. For additional information, contact the Financial Aid Office at (229) 391-4910.
