ABAC FALL MUSIC RECITAL DECEMBER 8

TIFTON - The Abraham Baldwin College Music Department will present a fall recital on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths. Each student performing is a current music major at ABAC. Accompanists for this event are Susan Spivey and Lorna Nolan. The recital is open to anyone who would like to attend at no charge.

Joshua Harrell of Tifton will be performing Sonatina by Haydn on the alto saxophone, while being accompanied by Spivey on the piano. Stephanie Hunt of Tifton will play Fantaise-Caprice Op. 118 by Lefebvre on the clarinet, also accompanied by Spivey.

Ashley May of Tifton, a soprano voice student, will perform Daisies by Samuel Barber and Jesus, Jesus Rest Your Head by John Jacob Niles. May will be accompanied by Nolan on piano. Tenor voice student Adrian Rivers of Valdosta will perform Beside Still Waters by Bernard Hamblen, also accompanied by Nolan.

Adagio and Menuetto by W.A. Mozart will be performed by Douglas native Lucy Taylor on the tenor saxophone, accompanied by Spivey. Percussion major Jonathan Thomas of Toccoa will be performing Etude #5 and #6 by Garwood Whaley on timpani and Minuet #114 and Gavotte from French Suite V by Anna Madalenda Bach on vibraphone. Soprano voice student Mary Vinnacombe of Lithia Springs will perform At the Cry of the First Bird by David Guion and The Black Dress by Jacob John Niles, accompanied by Nolan.
