RECEPTION FOR WYLES ON MARCH 14

TIFTON- A reception will be held to honor Gene Wyles, Director of Bands at Abraham Baldwin College, from 4 – 6 p.m. on March 14. The reception honors Wyles for his induction into the Georgia Band Directors Hall of Fame.

The event will take place in the Music Building on the campus. It is open to anyone who wants to help celebrate Wyles’ achievement.

The Georgia Band Directors Hall of Fame’s purpose is to acknowledge outstanding performance of band directors, musicians, and teachers of the past and present.

Wyles’ 46-year distinguished career in music includes 31 years as director of bands at Worth County High School in Sylvester, where he enjoyed a successful career with many accomplishments and awards with the Worth County music program, and 15 years as director of bands at ABAC.
