FALL GRADUATION DECEMBER 17 AT ABAC
TIFTON— State Senator Joseph Carter will be the fall
graduation speaker for
Carter, a
Carter has distinguished himself professionally, holding several leadership positions in the Georgia Bar; most recently being appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia to the State Disciplinary Board for the Georgia State Bar, 2000-2003.
Carter is an active member of the Tifton community. He is a little league coach, a Leadership Tifton participant, and a Board of Trustee member for the Tifton-Tift County Public Library. He is a former PTO President, former president of the Tifton Bar Association, and former member of the Board of Education. He and his wife, Rebecca, have resided in Tifton for 15 years.
ABAC Interim President Tom Call will open the graduation ceremony. Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Caroline Helms will present the 150 degree candidates.
Young Alumni Director of the ABAC Alumni Association, Joy Carter, will induct the graduates into the Alumni Association and assist in the presentation of the coveted George P. Donaldson award. The award, named for ABAC’s president from 1947-61, goes to the top ABAC graduate participating in the ceremony.
