NEW FACULTY AND STAFF AT ABAC

TIFTON--The start of the fall semester spells change for 32 new faculty and staff members at Abraham Baldwin College. In addition to a host of newcomers, some ABAC faculty and staff members have changed positions within the college.

Victoria Horst, Head Librarian/Assistant Professor, is the new Baldwin Library Director; and Reina Patel, Library Assistant III, has joined the library staff. Tracy Dyal is the new manager of the ABAC Bookstore.

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and High School Equivalency Program (HEP) have three new employees, Nancy Anthony, Senior Secretary; Maria Sanchez, HEP Recruiter; and Francisco Zapeda, formerly a HEP Recruiter, is now a recruiter for CAMP.

Shawn Cox, Farm Worker III; and Ray Lundy, Mechanical Superintendent, are new staff members in the Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources.

 Amy Williams, former Part-Time Instructor of Information Technology, has joined ABAC’s Division of Business Administration as an Instructor of Information Technology.

             The Division of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation moved former Part-Time Instructor Jimmy Ballenger into a Full-Time Instructor’s position as well as Women’s Soccer Coach; and Donna Sledge, former Part-Time Instructor, is now a Temporary Full-Time Instructor in that division.

            The Division of Humanities added Chad Howell, Temporary Full-Time Instructor of English; Brian Ray, Assistant Professor of English; William Reynolds, Assistant Professor of English; and Mary Willis, Temporary Full-Time Instructor of English. Former Part-Time Instructor Charlotte Davis is now a Temporary Full-Time Instructor of English/ Reading.

            New additions in the Division of Nursing are Judith Donnan, Temporary Full-Time Instructor of Nursing; Linda Lott, Assistant Professor of Nursing; Cheryl Warren, Temporary Full-Time Instructor of Nursing; and Susan Thompson, Registered Nurse for the Health Center.

John Farrar, Assistant Professor of Chemistry; Roger Sakhel, Assistant Professor of Physics, and Allison Young, Instructor of Biology, are new faculty in the Division of Science and Mathematics. Vincent Adkins, Assistant Professor of Psychology; joined the Division of Social Science.

             Traci Bryan, formerly Student Financial Aid Counselor, is now Student Financial Aid and Job Placement Counselor. The office of Institutional Research and Planning added Clayton Riehle, Senior Secretary.

            The new Director of Procurement is Julie Boland, and the post office added Amanda Lundy as the new Mail Clerk.

The ABAC Police Department welcomed Joseph Freeman Johnson, Public Safety Officer; and Andrew Michael Smith, Public Safety Officer to the campus.

New employees in the Public Service and Business Outreach Center are Heather Vaughn, Senior Secretary; and Erin Womack, Program Coordinator.

Student and Enrollment Services new personnel include Ali Csinos, Coordinator of Student Recruitment; Dawn Davis, Records Coordinator II; Megan Parker, Admissions Recruiter; Nicholas Rachowicz, Coordinator of Residence Life; and Elizabeth Wilcox, Senior Secretary. Emily Cheek, formerly of the Baldwin Library, is Records Coordinator II in that office.
