WOMACK NAMED NEW PROGRAM COORDINATOR

TIFTON—Erin Womack of Tifton is the new program coordinator at the office of the Public Service and Business Outreach Center at Abraham Baldwin College.

Womack earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Valdosta State University.

She previously worked for the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, a non-profit organization for Georgia hospitals. She lobbied at the state level to protect the interests of community not-for-profit hospitals.

From 2001 – 2004, Womack served as the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator for the organization. She became Director of Operations in 2004 and held that position until coming to ABAC.

“I always wanted to work in higher education and when this opportunity fell into my lap I had to take it,” said Womack, who was married Jason Womack, also a Tifton resident.

“I am looking forward to this position. I hope to beef up the marketing aspect and I’m excited about the classes offered through the Corporate Education Center.”

Womack replaces Debra McCrary who moved to the assistant registrar’s position with the office of Enrollment Services.
