ABAC AT EXPO OCTOBER 18-20

TIFTON—Student performers from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will be showcased on Oct. 18-20 at the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition at Spence Field near Moultrie.

A huge stage inside the ABAC building at the Expo spotlights ABAC student and alumni talent.  On Oct. 18, ABAC alumna Autumn Cross will sing at 9, 10, and 11 a.m., and ABAC student Kelly Peele will sing at 1, 2, 3, and 4 p.m.

On Oct. 19, Dr. Susan Roe and the Jazz Choir will perform at 9, 10, and 11 a.m. as well as 1, 2, 3, and 3:45 p.m.  On Oct. 20, Don Coates and the ABAC Jazz Band will perform at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.

The ABAC exhibit is housed in a building which was constructed with funds donated by Lanier Carson to the ABAC Foundation.  The exhibit includes admissions and alumni information as well as an ABAC souvenir stand operated by the ABAC Ambassadors.

The Ambassadors also emcee all the entertainment shows and run a Putt for Prizes display for children.  ABAC horticulture students landscape the exhibit area with mums and other flowers and shrubs.

Prospective students will find plenty of material about ABAC and the brand new ABAC Place apartments.  Alumni can sign up for an ABAC afghan to be given away on Oct. 20.

The Expo started as a series of small equipment shows on the ABAC campus.  It moved to the Spence Field location in 1978.

The Expo is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Oct. 18-19 and from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Oct. 20.  Admission is $5 per person.
