                                                            FOURTH ANNUAL ABAC AG CLASSIC OCTOBER 1

 

            TIFTON— The Fourth Annual ABAC Ag Classic Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 1 at Forest Lakes Golf Course near Tifton. This event is sponsored by the ABAC Ag Alumni Council to benefit the students of Abraham Baldwin College and the Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources.

            There is an entry fee of $125 per person or $500 for a four-player team. The tournament includes lunch, cart and green fees, a premium golf shirt embroidered with the tournament logo, and a sleeve of golf balls.

            The morning flight begins at 8 a.m., and the afternoon flight is scheduled for 1 p.m. Flights will be assigned on a first registered, first assigned basis.  The format for this tournament is a four-man scramble with a shotgun start. The tournament is being held at ABAC’s golf course at Forest Lakes for the first time.

Cash prizes includes first place, $1,000 per team; second place, $600 per team; third place, $500 per team; fourth place, $400 per team; and fifth place, $300 per team.

A Buick automobile will be awarded for a hole-in-one on a designated hole. Other prizes will be given to the participant who gets closest to the pin and has the longest drive. Door prizes will be awarded as well.
