ABAC FLORAL DESIGN CERTIFICATE
PROGRAM BEGINS JANUARY 26
TIFTON--The ABAC Floral Design Certificate Program is now available at
The program includes the following
classes: Principles of Floral Design,
Floral Design Techniques, Arrangement
for All Occasions, Arranging Spring
Foliage, and The Sweet Smell of Success.
This 28-hour program is designed to provide amateur and professional florists
with the skills and training necessary to advance in the floral industry.
Novices who are interested in the floral business will receive the background
and basic skills they need to be successful. The program even includes
techniques to help students start their own business. Those already working in
the floral business will learn the latest trends and how to make the most out
of business
Participants may enroll in any course
independently or complete the series to earn the certificate. Pre-registration
is required. A basic understanding of the principles of design is required for
the advanced level courses.
The fee for the complete series is
$299 (plus supplies). Fresh flowers will be provided. On the first night of
each class, the instructor will discuss supplies. In order to earn the Floral
Certificate, students must complete the entire series, attending at least 75
percent of the classes.

In this class, students will learn
the basic concepts of floral design, including composition, focal point,
proportion, rhythm, harmony, balance, line, texture, and color, as well as how
to handle fresh flowers properly. The class includes hands-on activities and
demonstrations.
