TARGET ASSISTS ABAC ARTS CONNECTION

TIFTON - The Tifton Target Regional Distribution Center recently donated $5,000 to local arts, education, and family violence prevention organizations. Three organizations received grants in recognition of their service to the Tifton community. One of these organizations was the Arts Connection on the campus of Abraham Baldwin College.

Target Distribution Center general manager Greg Phillips presented checks to Wayne Jones of the ABAC Arts Connection, as well as MaryLois Lassiter of Literacy Volunteers of America; Tifton City Chief of Police Jim Smith; and Officer Steve Hyman of the Tifton-Tift County Community Involvement program.

“We are committed to being the best partner for our community,” said Phillips. “That means being involved with local organizations and offering our support through grants and volunteer hours.”

“We all appreciate the support that our community receives from Target,” Jones said. “Target has always been a great asset to our community.”
