ABAC ATHLETES, EDUCATORS UNITE TO KEEP

of Abraham Baldwin College’s tennis team, the Stallions’ basketball team, and
the Student Georgia Association of Educators (SGAE), Davis Road in Tifton is a

project on that road, which extends from
This semester, ABAC’s athletes wanted to become more involved in community service activities and assisted with the clean-up project. Stallions’ basketball coach Robert Moore and 14 members of the basketball team devoted their time to helping eight SGAE members pick up litter, collecting a total of 11 bags of trash. Earlier this semester, 14 members of the ABAC tennis team helped pick up nine bags of trash.
“This has really been a win-win situation for everyone,” SGAE President Stephanie Roberts of Enigma, said. “The community benefited because the litter was removed from a well-traveled road. The members of the ABAC basketball and tennis teams had an opportunity to serve ABAC and Tifton in a different way, and SGAE members were able to meet Adopt-a Mile obligations in record time. Hopefully, this partnership will continue for years to come.”
