ABAC AG CLASSIC WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Bayer CropScience team from Douglas finished first in the recent ABAC Ag Classic Benefit Golf Tournament held at Sunset Country Club in Moultrie. The team consisted of Mark Thomas, Rex Hill, Larry Hutcheson, and Billy Smith, all from the Douglas area. They earned a $1,000 prize package.

A team sponsored by Tyson Foods of Dawson finished second and earned a $600 prize package. Team members included Chad Perry of Tifton, Wink Taylor of Dawson, Al Whittington of Moultrie, and David Peppers of Vienna.

The third place team consisted of C. A. McGough and Bennie Gaskins of Bridgeboro, Robert Brass of Lenox, and Brian Betts of Sparks. They earned a $500 prize package.

The annual tournament was sponsored by the ABAC Ag Alumni Council to fund scholarships and other projects for students in ABAC’s Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources. The tournament netted over $17,000.
