STUDY ABROAD FAIR NOVEMBER 2 AT ABAC

A Study Abroad Fair sponsored by Valdosta State University will be held Nov. 2 from 9:30 - 1 p.m. in the Meadow (between Bowen Hall and the Music Building) at Abraham Baldwin College.

The fair is taking place in conjunction with the "living history" display, a production that includes authentic reproductions of ancient arms and armor, an opportunity to learn iron working techniques, music, and a demonstration of fighting skills employed by many warriors of Great Britain's Anglo Saxon era. The display and the fair are open to anyone who would like to attend at no charge. In the event of rain, the events will be held in the Nickelodeon. Students and faculty members interested in study abroad programs are encouraged to attend the fair. Representatives from the University System of Georgia's European Council will provide information booklets and applications for VSU's study abroad programs and scholarship information.

VSU offers four study abroad programs during the summer: London, Paris, St. Petersburg, Russia, and Montepulciano, Italy. Students can earn up to six credit hours in all of the programs. Courses are taught by faculty from around the state of Georgia, and all credits are accepted by public universities in the state.

A wide variety of courses are offered, and the courses vary for each program. The complete list of courses is available on the European Council website at www.valdosta.edu/europeancouncil.

For additional information about VSU's study abroad programs or the fair, contact Jill Clemmons, Administrative Coordinator, University System of Georgia European Council, Center for International Programs, VSU, at (229) 259 -2591.
