Academy Director Tim Dorminey said that Timothy E. Allmond of the Douglas Police Department received the Overall Achievement Award for the 177th session. He also received second place for Academics, second place for Firearms, and served as president of the class. Jacob A. Bush of the Donalsonville Police Department earned the Academic Achievement Award. Jessie Castleberry of the Cuthbert Police Department earned the first place award for Firearms.
Capt. J. D. Yeager of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office was the guest speaker at the graduation ceremony.

Hogsett of the Douglas Police Department; Leroy Kent of the Pavo Police Department; Tony Kirkland of the Bacon County Sheriff's Office; Kenneth R. Knowles of the Bainbridge Police Department; Thomas McDonald of the Worth County Sheriff's Office; Christopher M. Morris of the Cook County Sheriff's Office; Lester Norman and Erica M. Price of the Dougherty County Police Department, Wallace Parrish of the Nashville Police Department; Clayton Pate of the Tift County Sheriff's Office; and Richard Webb of Cecil, who was sponsored by the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
The Regional Police Academy regularly holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in cooperation with the Division of Social Science at ABAC.
