The event will feature 36 contestants who will compete in casual wear and evening gowns. They will also be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges. The Revue begins at 7:30 p.m. in ABAC's Donaldson Dining Hall. Admission is $3.
Students competing in this year's event include Teresa August Avery, a landscape design major from Cairo; Ashley Barrentine, an agriculture education major from Pelham; Shanna Boyett, an agribusiness major from Reidsville; Victoria Marie Calhoun, a criminal justice major from Clarkston; Stephanie Peggy Carter, an agriculture education major from Adel; Shannon Elizabeth Coker, an early childhood education major from Tifton; Maricel Dizon, a computer science major from Montezuma; Ashley Gayle Dykes, an early childhood education major from Hinesville; Katie Gilbert, an agricultural business major from Luella; Alisha Michelle Hall, a medical technology major from Tifton; Brandi Leigh Harpe, a special education major from Valdosta; Crystal Dawn Huckaby, a secondary education major from Beggs, Okla; and Stacey Marie Jones, an agriculture education major from Folkston.
Other contestants are Misty Deann Jordan, an animal science major from Madison; Shayla Kisling, an agriculture education major from Douglas; Kristin MacKenzie, a journalism major from Fitzgerald; Mitzi Marshall, a wildlife management major from Dahlonega; Jena McMillan, an accounting major from Fitzgerald; Shannon Moody, an early childhood education and psychology major from Blackshear; Mara C. Mullis, an undeclared major from Eastman; Dana Marie Murray, a nursing major from Baxley; Kellie Kathleen O'Connor, a wildlife technology major from Duette, Fla.; Joanie Marie Padgett, a music education major from Fitzgerald; Lindsay Rebecca Paulk, a secondary education major from Moultrie; and Beth Phillips, a communications major from Douglas.
Other students competing for the title of Ms. ABAC include Katie Quinn, an animal science major from Mansfield; Kristie Leigh Sanders, an early childhood education major from Moultrie; Domnica Smith, a pre-dentistry major from Albany; Starla Dawn Smith, a business administration major from Nashville; Emily Caroline Stanaland, a nursing major from Alma; Jamie Ellen Stevens, a pre-medicine major from Sycamore; Sarah Taylor, an agriculture education major from Moultrie; Jessica Thompson, a hospitality management major from Franklin; Beverly Walker, an undeclared major from Tifton; Heather Rose Walker, a nursing major from Tifton; and Allison L. Worley, a criminal justice/law enforcement major from Kingsland.
Margaret Brogdon, ABAC's Director of Procurement, will direct the pageant, and Pam Leonard, Administrative Secretary in the Public Relations Office, will serve as producer.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the ABAC Jazz Band, under the direction of Don Coates, and the Jazz Choir, under the direction of Wayne Jones. ABAC Director of Public Relations Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies. Ms. Abraham Baldwin 2001, Mary Jane Snow, and ABAC President Mike Vollmer will crown the new Ms. ABAC.
