Contestants are sponsored by campus clubs, athletic teams, residence halls and student media. After competing in casual attire, formal attire, and interview categories, the top contestant will receive a plaque. Mr. Photogenic will also receive a plaque.
Dottie Davis and Matt Patrick of the B-100 radio station will emcee the event. Vocal entertainment will be provided by the ABAC Jazz Choir during the first break and Davis during the third break. During the intermission, Baptist Student Union members will sell refreshments. Mr. ABAC 2000 Carl Stalvey will pass the title on to Mr. ABAC 2001.

Bradshaw, an animal science and agriculture education major from Clayton; Brian Shamar Byrd, a physical therapy major from Fitzgerald; Thomas Chapman, a political science major from Tifton; Bo Chesser, a forestry major from Nahunta; Tanner Clark, a wildlife technology major from Trenton; Bernie Collins, a golf course/turf management major from Carrollton; Allen Cross, a forestry major from Grovetown; Gregory Michael Ellis, an animal science major from Chatsworth; Ben Kennedy, an agriculture education major from Collins; and Floyd Jackson Moon, a business administration major from Tifton.
