"One of our main strengths is diversity--we have a lot of different personalities and styles of game," ABAC Coach Alan Kramer said. "We have a lot of talent if we can come together as a mature team. When facing the many four-year schools on the schedule, this is important. Our competition is tougher than last year, but this competition should prepare us for the national tournament in Tyler, Texas."
According to Kramer, key players this season include Jakub Petersson, a sophomore from Sweden who is currently playing number one on the team and is ranked number two in the country among two-year colleges; Gilardo Lobo, a sophomore from Venezuela who is currently playing number three on the team and was on the national championship team two years ago; and Tony Lightfoot, a sophomore from Atlanta who played number five singles last year and is currently playing number six.
The Stallions' first home match is on Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. against Gordon College.
