ABAC'S BALDWIN PLAYERS TO PERFORM NOVEMBER 1 - 3
The Baldwin Players of Abraham Baldwin College will present the classic Greek tragedy, Medea by Euripides, on Nov. 1 - 3 in Room 319 in Conger Hall on the ABAC campus. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. each night. General admission is $5. There is no charge for ABAC faculty, staff, and students.
The cast includes Sherrie Hines of Chula as Medea, Jimmie Hall of Norman Park as Jason, Katie Davis of Tifton as the Nurse, Skylar Harwell of Hampton as the Tutor, Ryan Conway of Tifton as Ageus, Dr. Ken Frazier of Tifton as Creon, George McMullan of Dahlonega as the Messenger, and Ashley Barrentine of Pelham as the Chorus.
"Although the play was written 2,400 years ago, many of its themes still apply to modern day life," Dr. John Galyean, Director of Theatre and ABAC's Baldwin Players, said. "Marital quarrels, the need to moderate one's life, the difference between men and women, the nature of parenthood, and more are all examined in the play."
