ABAC BAND AND CHOIR CONCERT NOVEMBER 15

          Abraham Baldwin College's Concert Band and Concert Choir will present their annual Fall Concert on Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tift County High School Performing Arts Center. There is no charge for admission.

          The Concert Band and Concert Choir will open the concert together with a performance of The Star Spangled Banner, written by Francis Scott Key and arranged by Henry Fillmore.

          The Concert Band, directed by Eugene Wyles, will then perform the following selections: Poet and Peasant Overture, written by Franz von Suppe and arranged by Henry Fillmore; Kunihild, Prelude to the Third Act, written by Cyrill Kistler and arranged by Robert M. Barr; Zacatecas (a Mexican march), written by Genaro Codiner and arranged by Andrew Glover; and Emperata Overture by Claude T. Smith.

          The Concert Choir, directed by Wayne Jones, will conclude the concert with selections from G.F. Handel's oratorio, The Messiah, including And the glory of the Lord (Chorus); O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion (Aria for Alto and Chorus); Glory to God (Chorus); His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Chorus); and Hallelujah.
