Dalton native Tom Lanier plays a vital role in the ABAC community. He serves on the Residence Hall Association and is an active participant in ABAC intramurals.

Lanier, an agriculture education major, says his favorite thing about ABAC is being a member of the Ambassadors, where he serves as vice president of the organization.

With the Ambassadors, Lanier has led many tours for prospective students, represented the college on stage at the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition and participated in the annual weekend leadership training retreat.

Lanier says being a part of the Ambassadors has allowed him to develop new aspects of his personality.  He received the award during the fall term for most hours contributed to the Ambassadors’ program.

After completing his ABAC education, Lanier plans to further his studies at the Tifton campus of the University of Georgia.

There is a quote that has always been meaningful to Lanier - “One is given many chances to be a man; one can be a boy but once.”
