BERRIEN COUNTY OFFICERS GRADUATE FROM ABAC POLICE ACADEMY
TIFTON— Jeffrey K. Lightsey and Mark S. Parr of
the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office were among 17 individuals who recently
received certificates at graduation exercises for the 235th session of the Georgia
Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) Regional Police Academy at Abraham
Baldwin Agricultural College.
Lightsey received the award for Overall Achievement and was awarded first place in Academics and Firearms.
The GPSTC regularly
holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with
state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in
