ROCHELLE RESIDENT SELECTED AS MS. BALDWIN AT ABAC

TIFTON—Whitney Conner, a nursing major from Rochelle, has been selected Ms. Baldwin 2009 by her peers at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Conner was one of seven students selected for Who’s Who at ABAC by a student-faculty committee. To be eligible for nomination, students must have completed at least 30 semester hours at ABAC with at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. From that list, the students at ABAC voted for Mr. and Ms. Baldwin.  Tom Lanier, a rural studies major from Dalton, was named Mr. Baldwin.

Conner was vice president for membership of the Agri-Business Club and vice-president for fellowship for Phi Theta Kappa this year. A Wilcox County High School graduate, she was also a member of the FFA, SGA, Circle K, AET, and BCM. She served as an ABAC Ambassador during her freshman year.

Conner is also a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and has made the Dean’s List every semester.  She is the daughter of Ronnie and Debbie Conner of Rochelle.

In order to be nominated to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges, nominees must maintain a 3.0 grade point average and participate in extra-curricular activities on campus.
