Summer Term Begins at ABAC on June 8
TIFTON – The summer term is a perfect
time for students home for the summer to pick up an
extra college class at
“It’s a great time for them to take that one class,” Barton said. “Transients (students attending other colleges) are usually very easy to work with.”
The ABAC summer term begins on June 8 but applications for the summer term must be turned in immediately, Barton said.
“These students must first apply to ABAC and then get a letter of transient permission from the college they are attending,” Barton said. “It’s usually no problem for them to make contact with the school at which they are currently enrolled.”
Barton said ABAC normally has a large number of transient students who attend the college during the summer.
“We have a lot of transient students who don’t want to waste that time,” Barton said. “It’s easy to take a class and keep their academic career going.”
Barton said some students who are graduating from high school in the next few days could also take a class during the summer.
“It’s a good way for them to start their college careers,” Barton said. “They can go ahead and get a jump start by taking a core curriculum class.”
Barton said applications are also arriving daily for the ABAC fall semester, which begins on Aug. 17. The deadline for the fall term is Aug. 1. Persons who seek more information can contact the ABAC enrollment services office at (229) 391-5004 or visit the ABAC web site at www.abac.edu.
