FITZGERALD GRADUATE TO
SPEAK AT FALL CONVOCATION AUGUST 14
TIFTON—Jodie Rayl Snow will be the guest speaker for the annual freshman
convocation ceremony on Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. in Gressette Gym at Abraham Baldwin
Agricultural College.
A native of Fitzgerald, Snow earned an associate degree in Business Administration from ABAC
in 2000. She received the J.G. Woodroof
Scholar award, the highest academic honor at the college, during the
spring of 2000. While at ABAC she also
played on the Fillies’ tennis team and was a member of the Honors Program.
Snow went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in
Management Information Systems degree from the Terry College of Business at the
University of Georgia. After receiving her BBA she earned her Juris Doctor from
Stetson University College of Law and a Masters of Business Administration from
Stetson University.
In
April of 2007, Snow was admitted to the Florida Bar. She currently works as an
Associate Attorney for McGahee & Perez, PL in Clewiston, Florida. She and her husband live in Belle Glade,
Florida.
Snow
has agreed to become an inaugural member of the ABAC ACTIONS (Alumni
Connecting To Involved and Outstanding New Students) team. ACTIONS is a new
alumni-based student recruiting effort designed to help attract academically
talented and engaged students to ABAC. ACTIONS will capitalize on ABAC’s vast network of alumni who
have received a quality education from the institution and who also experienced
the “ABAC way of life.” ABAC President David Bridges said it is one of the key
elements in making ABAC Georgia’s
State College of Choice.
Following the convocation, the annual President’s Picnic will be
held on the Lakeside Lawn. The event
features food, fun, and games for ABAC students, faculty, and staff.
