ROYAL TO PERFORM SOPHOMORE MUSIC RECITAL APRIL 28
TIFTON - Meagan Leigh Royal, a mezzo-soprano,
will present a vocal recital on April 28 in the Chapel of All Faiths at 7 p.m.
on the campus of

a music major from Tifton, has been accepted to the
An integral member of the ABAC Concert Choir, Royal also performs with the Chamber Singers and Jazz Choir. She recently returned from a singing tour with the ABAC Jazz Choir at Walt Disney World.
In
her recital, Royal will exhibit a variety of vocal techniques with a very
versatile repertoire. The recital will include
operatic arias such as “Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix” from
Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saëns and Mozart’s “Non so piu cosa son” from Le Nozze di Figaro, as well as an oratorio aria, “O Thou That
Tellest Good Tidings To Zion” from Handel’s Messiah.
She will also
perform art songs from the
Baroque and Romantic periods of music in German, French, and English, and a Broadway
show tune duet from Jekyll and Hyde. She
will end her recital with Malotte’s “Lord’s Prayer”.
The event is open to anyone who would like to attend at no charge.
