Blair Austin from WGTC: The 6’3” Freshman averaged 25.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per games this week while shooting 71% from the field. He scored 28 points on 13-14 shooting against Sound Doctrine in a 103-90 win. He added 21 points and 6 rebounds in a 87-81 loss to Middle Georgia College.
Alex Ordu from OC: guided Oxford College to a 1-1 record this week by averaging 17.5 points, 7 rebounds, 4.5 assist and 3 steals for the two games. Ordu poured in 21 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in a 75 to 50 victory over Southern Crescent Tech. In the second game of the week versus West Georgia Tech, Ordu showcase his talents scoring 14 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assist and 3 steals.
Dess Culpepper from MGTC: Mr. Culpepper put up his best performance this season versus Southern Crescent Tech. On January 17, Dess scored a season and game high 26 points against the Tigers of Southern Crescent. Dess shot 10/14 from the field and was 6 of 8 from behind the arch. On January 20, Culpepper followed up his performance leading the Titans with a game high 18 points. Culpepper also had 3 steals and 6 rebounds in Friday night’s game.
Ricky Byrd from SCTC: averaged 23.5 point per game this week. He averaged 66.67% from the free throw line with 15 attempts. He had a 50% 3PA and a 56.25% FGA with 32 attempts. He also averaged 8.5 rebounds per game and had 3 steals and 1 block in the GNTC game.
