January 27, 2012 vs St. John's River

The Stallion Baseball team lost its 2012 season opener
3-1 Friday night against St. John’s River CC (Palatka, FL).  Josh Pape (sophomore) got the start and pitched 6 scoreless innings striking out 7.  O’Neal Jones (freshman) recorded the loss giving up 3 runs in his 3 innings of work.  Offense was almost non-existent from either squad as both teams only managed 5 hits each in the 9 inning game that lasted 1:40 minutes.  Neal Gandee (F), Brad Blount (F), Hayden Kudela (F), Matt Fryman (F), and Billy Hutchins (S) each had one hit a piece.  Matt Fryman plated the only run for the Stallions with his RBI single in the 5th inning that scored Hayden Kudela.  The ABAC baseball team will be back in action tomorrow at St. John’s River and at home on Sunday against Tallahassee CC.
