Welcome to the official website of the ABAC International Club for the 2007-2008 school year. This club was organized by members of the Political Science Club in the Summer of 2007 in order to extend the school's knowledge of international affairs, events, conflicts, problems, and history. We aim to not only educate our members on world affairs but to also increase their participation in constructive activities such as humanitarian programs, world affairs presentations, fundraising efforts, and other activities that can positively affect us locally, regionally, and even internationally.
One of the primary objectives of the International Club includes the Kenya Project, in which the organization raises money to assist AIDS orphanages in Nairobi, Kenya, and personally delivers the aid in a visit to Kenya each year. This past year, three ABAC students spent 11 days in Kenya and personally delivered $1,500 in aid money that we had raised last year. In doing so, ABAC became the first 2-year college in the Southeast to have students leave the country for a humanitarian cause. And that was only the beginning.
