The Horticulture Club

The Purposes of the Horticulture Club:
bullet Promote environmental interests and professionalism
bullet Help identify and develop leadership qualities
bullet Promote extra-curricular activities on campus
Activities:
bullet Cookouts to promote membership drives and student rapport
bullet Car washes as a fund raiser
bullet Ornamental plant sales throughout the year for the department and club
bullet Sponsor guests speakers on campus from green industry
bullet Collaboration with the ABAC Student Chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in conducting golf tournaments for the Agriculture Division
bullet Legacy Golf Tournament in raising funds for students in the agricultural division
bullet Collaboration with other divisional clubs in conducting the Ag. Day for students in the agricultural division
bullet Assisting with the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition in Moultrie
bullet Assisting with the Annual Georgia FFA District Horticultural Contests in Tifton and Waycross

Membership:
bullet Expressed interest in environmental horticulture as a career or just as an ctivity
bullet Participate in club meetings and activities
bullet Pay semester or quarterly dues to the club as established each Fall Semester
